DAY 1 - Preparing for the adventure

Tuesday, February 16th. Sitting in the Denver airport waiting for a flight to Seattle. Orange County - Denver - Seattle. Torture. Isn't that a little out of the way? Oh well, it was a free flight. No complaints here:)
Today I had to work. I also had to run 8 miles for my marathon training. I also had to get ready for the time of my life in Vancouver and a flight at 5pm. So as a result I had to wake up at 5am, run and then come home shower and do a deep conditioning face mask. Can you blame a girl? If I am going to have any shot at kissing Shaun White my face must be glowing. Exhibit A (before the glow):

I raced around town for several appointments and then came home, stuffed my carry-on luggage with enough cute clothes and accessories for 6 days (can't risk losing a checked bag) and my lovely roommate Aubrey took me to the airport. I sat next to a guy who was of some kind of Asian decent and was also watching one of those hilarious Asian game shows on his laptop where everyone gets hurt by over-sized Q tips and large colorful mallets. Flight got in early and now I am killing time by updating my precious travel journal in hopes that one of my 5 followers will find this as awesome as me.

I know what you are thinking and yes, I was taking a photo of myself in the Denver airport. And yes, I got many strange looks from people passing by.

  1. Does anyone else think I look prettier with a mud mask on my face?

  2. I think it doesn't matter what you do... you are beautiful regardless.
