Day 6 - Last day with Gyl, Treva and Seattle!!!

This post is sweet. Very sweet - but also bitter. Very bitter. I am sitting in the Seattle airport after being in security for over an hour! My bag got tagged because I forgot to put a lip gloss in the plastic bag with my liquids. I know we need to be secure around here but COME ON! I am officially blaming the terrorists for confiscating my lip gloss and making me miss my flight. If I was intelligent enough to make a bomb to blow up a plane to fit in my little tube of MAC lip gloss then I wouldn't be a Sales Manager at Select Staffing. Enough said.
Yesterday was awesome! We woke up to another beautiful day and view from Uncle John and Aunt Mary's house. After eating breakfast we headed down to the SeaWalk and strolled down the pathway by the sea that my grandma and grandpa used to walk every day. My dad called my grandpa the "Mayor of the Sea Walk". Then we took a photo and a nice old man named Gyl asked if he could take it. We obliged and then he walked with us the whole time telling us stories about the place and greeting people as we passed. I guess there is a new mayor in town:).
My sisters and dad got ready for Church and I got ready for a little road trip with Treva and the kids down to Seattle. The border was fine - we sailed through in a breeze, and made it all the way to our cousin Dave and Alyce's. They made a great lunch which we shared while the kids were running around. It was a picture perfect Sunday - including the wild and rambunctious kiddies:). Then we watched USA beat Canada in hockey (dang it), and had a nice night at home. Just what I needed before diving back into a crazy work week.

Thanks everyone for the memories. I love you Canada, Dad, Carly, Lexi, Rogan, crazy flag guy downtown, ferry dude, Grandma, Nanaimo Bars, and The Naam. I hope to see you all again soon.
