So speaking of cool inventions like the straitening iron, this week is a really big one for me. I am on a plane right now to NYC, I head to Wednesday for a few meetings in Boston, and Thursday-Saturday I will be in Las Vegas for CES - the candy shop for tech kids like me. CES is all about innovation - the coolest new tech gadgets, and inventions. It made me think about all the ideas that start with just a thought and turn into huge empires (hello, Apple?). I constantly have random ideas going through my head - a machine I can walk through in 5 minutes and my hair will be perfectly washed and styled for the day, a robot that puts together a cute outfit and lays it out while I am still sleeping to save me that extra 20 minutes it takes to decide what to wear. You know, the usual. I am actually more interested in finding out what your ideas are. I created a survey to collect results - the link is below. Click it to fill out a really short survey. Let's see if one of us can be the next Steve Jobs. Or invent my clothing robot for me... Have fun - a full update on the coolest new gadgets will be on its way from CES at the end of the week!

When the Ceramic Straightener Came Into My Life...
... It changed my life. It definitely changed my appearance. It also improved my dating options at the ripe old age of 23. I can't believe I spent so many years straightening my unruly frizzy mess of hair with a blow dryer and round brush. Then came the gold straightening iron and that made the nightmare even worse. The effect of that harsh instrument was that I looked as if I was constantly electrocuted with the breakage of my hair sticking straight up. Then there was my mission in NZ when I had to blow dry my hair and then pull it through a curling iron to get it straight. That was the worst one - I love you primitive New Zealand with your funny-looking electrical plugs. Now look at my hair - I am not a spokes model for Pantene ProV or anything but it is dramatic improvement.
