Road Trip Food Doesn't Count...

... or does it? Because in the last 11 hours of my driving day from LA to Utah I ate In and Out, McDonald's, gas station Willy Wonka sweettarts, Subway, and 5 diet cokes. Oh, and I had to Crystal Light my water because it was too pure without a little flavor. Somehow I kept telling myself "It is different when I'm on the road" or "If I don't eat something that I enjoy I will fall asleep on the road and crash. So in a sense I am really just saving my life by eating this crap" or there is the classic "Road trips remind me of college and when I was in college I ate whatever I wanted with my new found independence so I need to relive the good times."

***Disclaimer*** If you are a boy reading this that thought I was cute until you just read what I ate today don't worry - this isn't common in my normal life. The problem is I have taken 5 road trips for work since the beginning of January. Usually I pose as a health nut - vegetarian, vegetable juicer, raw foodie, etc. But I have a dark side and it likes terrible food.

The problem is that I have a rule that if I am ever in Utah I HAVE to eat at least one of those huge pink cookies they have at gas stations every day because they don't have them anywhere else and if you get a friend to ship them they get all crumbly by the time they get to you and NO they don't taste the same when they are torn apart like that. Also I must consume Cafe Rio and a lot of it.

All this food talk is making me hungry so peace out - Diet starts in 5 days when I am back in healthy LA.

  1. Your so funny! And I know what you mean we always pig out on the road even though I try and be good by packing a cooler with carrots and cliff bars it just gets ignored

  2. Rebuttal to the disclaimer: This dark side (and the willingness to expose it) makes you cuter. Girls that won't eat things like In-n-Out and pink cookies: not cute. So in essence: this post makes you cuter (not less cute).
