OK so I haven't bawled my eyes out in a movie since "Of Mice and Men"... not even when humans die, but dogs? Come on that is too hard to handle. I think every woman in the room was crying and every guy was looking at her just like John was looking at me - with overcome confusion. The whole situation was actually comical but I think that everyone should see it - great family movie with a good message and cute dog:) - and for those who don't know who Beau is, he is my family dog growing up and holds a dear place in my heart. I can probably thank him for the tears I shed in the theater.
We had the best day today! We woke up early, went to the Eastern Market with Tudor and Karina, and ate the best blueberry pancakes that DC has to offer! Then we shopped the market vendors and headed straight to the Mall and the Smithsonian museums. The video enclosed is at the ice skating rink which was way too cold to actually participate in, but it looked like a good idea. And while watching the instant replay I notice that while I am trying to act like a model I blocked some little girl from being able to steady herself on the ledge. So much for trying to be smooth.
The best part of the night started around 5:30 when John took me on a date! A real bonafide date to Chevy's, then to Marley and Me, and then we went to Barnes and Noble and read books while sipping herbal tea. My FAVORITE! Now we are at home watching Get Smart and I felt the need to update all of you on my incredible adventure here in DC!

ReplyDeleteI bawled when I saw this movie too. I don't think I've ever cried that much for anything. My head hurt afterwards. :)
